Cold Stone Creamery

I went to LALAPORT in Kamoi with Sonomi last weekend. Why we went, because we wanted to intaview and take some photos for our poster session.

Cold stone's icecream was very nice! I ate icecream with caramel source, pecan nuts and raspberry.
I recomend you to go to Cold Stone once. if you go, the staffes will make icecream with singing a song.

Last Saturday, I went to Machida with my friend Mai. Mai wanted a note to put pictures so first we go round general stores. At one of stores, an artisan of seal cut nice seals along to individual orders. Also other her works (ex. Letter sets and greeting cards) were sold there. Unfortunately the seal cutting was on a subscription basis so I couldn’t order seal cutting.
Next we went to a shop which had interior goods and kitchenware. I wanted a new teapot because Mai gave me tea-leaf for my birthday. I found a lovely teapot, which had a red body and a white ear. The looks so cute but it is a little heavy.
Also we shopped at some clothes’ shops. At first, I just did window-shopping. However the temptation was so strong and I yielded. I bought a cool T-shirt and a white one-piece.
At the evening, we had dinner at a restaurant. There had very nice mood so we relaxed and enjoyed dinner with talk. I eat rice and chicken served in a bowl. Mai eat gratin of taro and cod roe. Delicious! After dinner I went to Mai’s room to stay.

Summary
The worst disaster which there has never been was the heavy oil spillage at the Spanish coast in November 2002. After 8 years from this disaster, the local inhabitants and the ecological system are still suffered from the serious damage.
The Prestige first got into trouble in November 2002, when the Greek-owned ship operating under the flag of the Bahamas sprang a leak after being caught in a storm off Spain's Galician coast. The Spanish government denied the Prestige refuge and ordered the foundering ship to be towed further out to sea. Several days later, more than 100 miles off the Spanish coast, a roiling storm finally broke the stricken ship in two, sending its shattered hull to the bottom of the ocean and spilling much of its cargo of heavy fuel oil into the water. At that time, over 100 thousand people were swamped with works to remove lots of oil slick.
This disaster had caused serious loss not only to economic but also ecology and especially health. People indicate quite insecurities about the damages from heavy oil to livings.

My Opinion
Through the article, there were my first knowledge and surprises of the disaster 2002 and especially the damage from an oil spillage. According the article, heavy oil has harmful effect to livings. The most serious toxic substance is heavy metal. It is a kind of metal which has heavier specific gravity through all metals. It can hardly be gotten rid from livings’ inside, once it is taken into. In short the harmful substances are going to stay at the inside of body as long as one lives. Actually a lot of people and animal have been suffered from the damage. I think it is a terrible fear that if the local area was completely covered with pollutants. Probably The distress of local people is seemed as immeasurable.

A boy became a pupil of a military art like gung-ho. All of the fine disciple have a peculiar mark on their brow. He started to practice and take a lot of training. After several years, the boy grew up to be a sturdy youth and a fine disciple.
The day, the man have a final test to receive as a member of the whole sect, he passes trial next to next finely. At last, he understands how to make the mark on his brow and then he does. He finally becomes a real fine disciple.
At first, I wondered that the master and the senior disciples all have the strange mark on their brow. I understood why, as soon as I had finished watching this commercial movie. It is very unique and funny! I like it.

My Fan

It is my fan, which my old friend gave me when I was a high-school student. The design of gold fish in the water and waterweed is so good. A fan of this type is called Kyo-Sensu. It is one of traditional craft products of Kyoto, an ancient city in Japan.
The begging of using fan is the early days of Heian-area, about the ninth century. In those days, some narrow and thin wood boards linked and formed into like fan were used. It is thought as the origin of the present fan. After the beginning, in addition, Japanese paper and bamboo were used as the material.
Today, this item is still loved by a lot of people. The small craft product which is made by reliable hands with the choicest materials is beautiful. The beauty is not only on the superficies, but also the practicality. The distinctive quality and texture, too.
When I was presented this fan, I couldn’t take a fancy to it. However, after growing up, I noticed its true value gradually. I want to go summer festival with it, in a yukata, this summer.

　Today I cooked my dinner. It was stewed chicken with tomato. I always cook without any cooking book so my recipe is not perfect. However this dish is nice and easy to cook so I introduce how to make it.
First, the stuffs are…
Canned boiled tomato, chicken, potato, powdered soup, powdered basil, salt and pepper.



1. Cut potatoes and put them into the water to take out harshness lightly.


2. Cut chicken and fly it with putting some powdered basil, salt and pepper.



3. Voile cut potatoes and fly.


4. Mix ＆ fly…


5. Open the can.


6. Go!



7. At the same time, put powdered soup into and cook them with a low flame.




8. Completion! Enjoy!

　This dish can be applied to some other dishes. It is good to put it on the pasta or use as a sauce of pan-gratin. Speaking of me, I made a dish like a risotto or seasoning rice gruel. In this case, I add onion-consomme-soup (instant) and boiled rice. It tastes good. If you like tomato’s taste, try it!

　Yesterday, during cleaning my bookshelf, I have made my watercolors fall carelessly. The tubes were dropped out from the box and in disorder on the floor. Unfortunately, underneath of my bookshelf was not so tidy. There was my bag and some boxes.
　Right away I started, for the FIRST to clean up my room and then to look for my watercolors. I have had 18 tubes but I found 16 of all. The box is having two rooms to put its tubes. I feel blue at my mistake and I think also it feels, too, maybe.
　The watercolors, which I’m lasting, are COBALT BLUE HUE and IVORY BRACK. Ivory black is a black which give us a soft and good impression. If I use a metaphor, the color is similar to the color of the fur of a black cat, which is sleeping in a sunny place.
　Cobalt blue hue is a bright blue. Put lots water into it, its color become clearer just as the sky of the summer. I like this color so my feeling was so fallen down at lasting. I will continue to look for them without give-up until I will find out.

About Forest Destruction

Resently, I had an oppotunity to think about the groval warming and I studied about which is my best concern.
Forest accounts for 1/4 of the land all over the world but it is said that the forest will be districted completely after 100 years.
As one of the cause of the forest destruction there is commercial tree felling. Above all, Mangrove forest is given grate damage by it. Also the forest of mangrove in Kenya is reduced 2% of all every year.There is a big crisis for all lives so we have to protect the forest which produce us clear air, fresh water, fertile soil and so on. In some source, the causes of the forest destruction are these; mass deforestation for mass-use of woods, disappearance of virgin forests, deforestation for a pastureland or a large scale farm, development skiing ground or some leisure facilities, devastation of forests by the acid rain and drying up forests by the global warming.
To solve these problem, there is 4R; a movement put forward by Ms. Wangri, who is the vice-minister of Ministry of the Environment of Kenya and a prize winner of Novel Price Prize. 4R is a word included Refuse, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. We can try this movement for our little intention to solve our forest, at once.

Today is the Boy’s Festival (, Tango-no-Sekku.) It is a long established custom that had been handed down from ancient China. Ordinary, it was taken as a day to start to gather some medicinal herb in this term which lots green leaves grew thick richly.
Since Kamakura area, these ordinary meanings of customs had changed along with Japanese culture of those days. It was not changed to display sweet flag and wormwood and use sweet flag medicinally, but then Bushi (≒ Samurai,) added some meanings, which hope the prosperity of their descent in the society of Bushi, to sweet flag.
For exorcising evil spirits, they had some custom; display a bundle of sweet flag and wormwood at the upper part of the door, take a sweet-flag bath as a medical bath and drink some sake of sweet-flag as a medicinal drink. These are from the ancient China.
In addition, in Japan, they display two special things; Koinobori and Gogatsu-ningyo. Koinobori is a cylindrical flag shaping a carp, following an origin in China. Gogatsu-ningyo is a doll of a boy who dressed up in the costume of Bushi. Both of them are special things symbolizing the health and success of a boy.
The movie is recorded at Sagami River, in Kanagawa. A lot of Koinobori swims in the sky. Usually at home, three-five Koinobori are displayed so this sight is rear. If you have time, it is nice to go and watch it there.

Sputniko! - Skype Song

The singer of this interesting song is Sputniko!, who has pop and marvelous power. She was born 1985, Tokyo, and an equation of an English mother and a Japanese father who are both university mathematics professors. She also studied Mathematics and Computer Science at Imperial College, London.
For my first glance, I was fascinated in her work, Skype Song. The main material of this song is Skype. Skype is a global handy communication tool and it is spread among people who have some facilities of Internet all over the world today. You can talk with someone just in the opposite direction of you on the earth, if you use this useful software.
This Sputniko!’s song brings up us some question. I was also made think about present world, our life with useful contents and humanity etc by listening to the song. Also I like the movie. It is quite nice and stylish. I want you to watch this PV and get feeling of her idea.

A Story of My Dream

　I often dream during my sleep. This morning I was awaked by my dream. It was very odd and as like a drama or a little movie.
　I was in an old elevator whose inside was slight dark. There were three persons including me. One of all was a short man who is too short to I didn’t mistake him for a children at the first glance. Another one was a very tall woman who looked like Minerva McGonagall of the movie of Hally Potter. The man was in a dirty white coat and his chin was turned up as if a mad scientist was sunk in thought. They were very quiet and the grave atmosphere from such them made me frighten and want to escape to somewhere lighter.
　The elevator worked, probably toward downstairs. It had a small window which I can look out a view of outside. I tried, from inside dark similarly to the view of outside in the night. There were some unrealistic sights. A jungle filled up with a lot of creepers and big unique colored flower, and an abbey which a lot of Ninja went in and out…next to next odd sight passed in front of my eyes.
　After a while, suddenly, the bottom of the elevator was overturned just like rotary door. Slipping, I was dropping into under of the elevator. Then I noticed there was a bottomless marsh which had strange bubble and smog. Never to drop in, I crept up along the board of bottom desperately.
　Then, I waked up with my hart beating hardly just like I finished to rush. I have had enough of bad dream which makes my hart weak any more..
