I hate gettin' dripping wet by driving cares when I walk on a lord on a rainy day. I'm thinking to get a new pair of rain-boots. Today Mai wore cute boots with floral patterns.

Alice in Wonderland

After school, I was asked to go to the movie by Chinatsu. Also with Haruka, I went to the movie in the news; Alice in Wonderland.
It was my first time of 3D movie. Badly my nose was pressed by my glasses and the 3D glasses! Next time I watch 3D movie, I should wear contact lenses.
The story of Alice in Wonderland was interesting! I wanna wacth again.. My favorite character is Queen of White. She is so beautiful!
I'm looking forword the DVD on 8/4 of this summer.

Today, after school, I went to go shopping with Chinatsu because I wanted to buy a birthday present for Yumiko. So I asked Chinatsu to come with me and help me to choose a good one.
After going around some shops, I found some cute hair bands. There were three types of coloring and I was made unable to make a decision which one I should choice. Then Chinatsu made an advice for me and I chose white one. Unfortunately, it has already been wrapped so I can’t put any photo of it. The colorful flower pattern on a white background will go well with Yumiko’s hair color. Next time when we see, I’ll give it to her. I want her to be glad.

At the present time, there are lots of problems of the natural environment and one of the most important is the destruction of forests. Forest accounts for a quarter of the land all over the world but it is being decreased by economic or living activities of human beings. The causes of destruction of forests are mass deforestation for mass-use of woods to make wooden products or for fuel, devastation of forests by acid rain and drying up forests by global warming. According to Kinoshita, forests’ areas have been reduced, without stopping. The forests’ area of the world has decreased to about 7,000,000ha from the ordinary gross area between 2000 and 2005. To solve the problem of the destruction of forests, Ms. Wangri, who is the vice-minister of Ministry of the Environmental of Kenya, puts forward 4R. It is divided into four activities; Refuse, Reduce, Reuse and Recycle.
The first activity to solve the destruction of forests is “Refuse.” Recently, buying in a shop, commodities have excessive wrapping, for example cling-film, tray of expanded polystyrene or plastic bag. Polyethylene which is made into these packing materials gives rise to dioxin which is noticed as an environmental issue. Dioxin has serious harmful toxicity and it causes the biological concentration. Thus, to reduce the quantity of expanded wrapping, the point of refusing unnecessary wrapping is important.
The second activity to solve the destruction of forests is “Reduce.” Reducing garbage is promoted in various places. In a super-market, lots of refill, especially of shampoo or cleanser, can be bought. Recently refill-packaging is made from some methods which have no risk to give rise to harmful substances, so after refilling an origin vessel, the empty package does not need much fuel for disposal. It is better to increase no more excessive garbage.
The third activity to solve the destruction of forests is “Reuse.” Up to now, it has been seemed usual to buy newer things when things became antiquated. However, in modern times, it is considered as importance to repair things which get a little break-down and continue to use them. Currently lots of companies provide some services to repair their products for nothing against the first trouble.
The fourth activity to solve the destruction of forests is “Recycle.” This word is well-known today. A dustbin for recycling can be found everywhere easily. To recycle resources, throwing away and grouping garbage is needed. Its activity leads more smooth and effective utilization of resources.
In short, there are four “R” activities to lead the problem of our essential forests to the solution. These activities have been taken more notice by the people of late years, but in present circumstances, there is not enough action by an individual. The serious crises, destruction of forests or global warming are drawing near to our earth every moment. It is an important need of human to solve these problems. 4R is one of the easiest measures which we can carry on and help to solve the blessing of nature.

Poster session

Today we had poster sessions. I and Sonomi intoroduced Cold Stone Creamary, an icecream shop. I was very nurvous, also Sonomi, too. Our presentation was not so smooth but we did. Our poster was good!
Others' poster sessions were interesting. Especially the first group after lunch did quite uniquely. One of this group member Roco hug a big doll of Duffy and imitated the voice of Mickie. The voice was so cute and funny! This group used gathered plastic tapes to represent the feeling of Sprash Mountain.
Kie and Chinatsu's group had a presentation about diet and exercises to lose weight. I want to lose weight so the results of their resarch will be varuable for me! I'll try the exercises straight away, this night. Also, I'll try cooking the healty soup with much vegitables.
