Robert Frost's poem2

The Road Not Taken

Two roads diverged in yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,
And having perhaps the better claim,
Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black.
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I boubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence;
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I ---
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.

In this poem, a perplexity to choice a road to be taken and author's decision were described.
Through this work, I felt resignation and cheerful mood for his life. The decision which was done in the past would be never changed. However, he can believe in his past decision to make sense on his future life. Believing in his decision is good to
make himself consent to live happily. This attitude could make all the difference for him.

Robert Frost's poem1

Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening

Whose woods these are I think I know.
His house is in the village though;
He will not see me stopping here
To watch his woods fill up with snow.

My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.

He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Through the poem, I feel a little pressure of living my life. The part,"And miles to go before I sleep," gives me mixed feeling. It is a pressure to live and also sense of
The reason why or what makes me such feeling is the idea included in the poem by the author.
He described some philosophy of living and energy to make his goal to continue his life there.

BOOK #2

Now I'm reading Fukuoh-Jiden. It was writen by Yukichi Fukuzawa. He is a famous person in Japan because he is a pioneer of the civilization and enlightenment of Modern Japan.
He is also the founder of Keiohgijuku University. In this book there are lots of things of his life. It is interesting for me, too someone who is interested in the customs of the Edo area and Meiji area.
